Duesenbergs Sweep Field at Amelia Island

One of the greatest of all the classic American auto manufacturers is undoubtedly Duesenberg. And, marque proved once again that it is alive and well by posting a sweep of the Best In Show awards at the 16th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance held March 11-13, 2011.  The best in show winners at the Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer were:

The Ritz-Carlton Best in Show Concours d’Elegance
1933 Duesenberg SJN Arlington Torpedo Sedan “The Twenty Grand”
The Nethercutt Collection | Helen and Jack Nethercutt – Sylmar, CA

and,

The Ritz-Carlton Best in Show Concours de Sport
1935 Duesenberg SJ Speedster “Mormon Meteor”
Harry Yeaggy – Cincinnati, OH

Bill Warner, Founder and Chairman said,

“I don’t recall a tougher decision among the judging committee for the best in show awards than this year. We simply had the best of the best on the field and I am glad the decision wasn’t mine. Both winners were stunning and very deserving. I take my hat off to the committee and congratulate them on their choices.”
