- Redesigned 4MATIC all-wheel drive available on C300 Sport and Luxury models
- C300 Sport automatic and C300 Luxury are flex-fuel capable – can use E85 ethanol as well as gasoline
GL-Class Sport Utility (on sale July 16, 2007):
- GL550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.) joins award-winning GL450 model (335 hp, 339 lb.-ft.) and GL320 CDI (210 hp, 388 lb.-ft.)
- GL550 is differentiated with new grill, fender flares and 21” wheels
- Seven-passenger, full-size SUV was a totally new vehicle class for Mercedes-Benz last year
CL-Class Coupe (on sale July 2, 2007):
- V8-powered CL63 AMG model (518 hp, 465 lb.-ft.) and V12-powered CL65 AMG (604 hp, 738 lb.-ft.) join CL550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.) and CL600 (510 hp, 612 lb.-ft.)
- Limited production CL65 40th Anniversary Edition painted in Liquid Metal
- New-generation flagship coupe debuted late 2006
S-Class Sedan (on sale July 2):
- V8-powered S63 AMG model (518 hp, 465 lb.-ft.) joins S550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.), S600 (510 hp, 612 lb.-ft.) and V12-powered S65 AMG (604 hp, 738 lb.-ft.)
- Redesigned 4MATIC all-wheel drive available on S500 (lighter, more fuel-efficient)
- Ninth-generation flagship sedan debuted in mid-2006
SLR McLaren Coupe and Roadster (on sale October 1):
- New roadster model joins coupe (both models: 617 hp, 575 lb.-ft.)
- Semi-automatic roof on roadster opens or closes in less than ten seconds
CLK-Class Coupe and Cabriolet (on sale July 2):
- Race-inspired CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe (500 hp, 465 lb.-ft.) joins CLK63 AMG Cabriolet (475 hp, 465 lb.-ft.), CLK550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.) and CLK350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft.)
- CLK350 receives standard sport suspension and twin six-spoke 18-inch wheels
R-Class Sport Utility (on sale July 16):
- R350 now available with two-wheel or all-wheel drive
- Seven passenger seating now available (three-seat 2nd row)
- R320 CDI diesel (221 hp, 398 lb.-ft.) and R350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft) continue
- All models come with standard AMG body styling and 18” wheels
- R500 and R63 AMG models discontinued
M-Class Sport Utility (on sale July 16):
- ML550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.) replaces ML500
- ML550 gets standard AMG body styling, 19-inch AMG wheels, running boards and power sunroof
- ML350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft.) andML320 CDI (215 hp, 398 lb.-ft.) receive standard 19” 5-spoke wheels, chrome grill and trim, blue glass and power glass sunroof
- ML350 Edition 10 features unique trim parts and two-tone interior; limited edition commemorates the M-Class’ ten-year anniversary (launches in October 2007)
- ML63 AMG (503 hp, 465 lb.-ft) remains unchanged
SLK-Class Coupe/Roadster (on sale July 2):
- SLK280 (228 hp, 221 lb.-ft.), SLK350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft.) and SLK55 AMG (355 hp, 376 lb.-ft.) models continue
- Ten-Year Anniversary SLK350 includes standard automatic transmission, 17-inch wheels, Edition 10 badging, red stitching on seats and red dash trim
E-Class Sedan and Wagon (on sale July 2):
- New AMG Sport package includes AMG front and rear aprons, 18-inch five-spoke wheels, dual chrome exhaust, and AMG steering wheel with shift paddles available on E350, E550 sedan
- E320 BLUETEC (210 hp, 388 lb.-ft.) E350 (268 hp, 258 lb.-ft.), E550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft.), and E63 AMG sedan and wagon (507 hp, 465 lb.-ft.) models continue
- 4MATIC all-wheel drive available on E350 and E550
SL-Class Coupe/Roadster (on sale June 11):
- New 18-inch 5-twin-spoke wheels standard for SL550
- Premium Nappa Leather now available as part of the SL550 Trim Package

CLS-Class Four-Door Coupe (on sale July 2):
- Both models, CLS550 (382 hp, 391 lb.-ft) and high-performance CLS63 AMG (507 hp, 465 lb.-ft.), receive standard satellite radio and 18-inch seven-spoke wheels
G-Class Sport Utility (on sale July 31):
- G500 (292 hp, 336 lb.-ft.) and G55 AMG (493 hp, 516 lb.-ft.) models continue
- Both models receive a new instrument cluster, steering wheel, rear-view camera, tail light design and hands-free communication/telephone interface
- G500 receives a 7-speed automatic transmission (G55 AMG continues with a 5-speed automatic transmission)

NEW YORK – AMG Market News: Mercedes-Benz debuted two new AMG cars at the New York auto show, along with the North American debut of the 2008 C-Class. First to debut was the 2008 CL65 AMG, powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 604 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. Following the CL65 AMG, the 2008 C-Class sedan burst onto the stage. Mercedes-AMG CEO, Volker Mornhinweg, followed the C-Class by introducing the CLK63 AMG Black Series, a street legal version of the Official F1™ Safety Car.

The SLK Mercedes-Benz 10th Anniversary With over a half-million sold worldwide, the Mercedes-Benz SLK has been a success story since it was first introduced as a concept car at the 1994 Turin Auto Show - production models arrived in 1997. To honor the SLK's 10th Anniversary, the SL Market Letter published the article, "Mercedes-Benz SLK - A Home Run!" that outlines the features and changes in the SLK since it was introduced.
